On June 3, 2025, Brightest Hope Company Limited collaborated with the Federal Ministry of Environment, alongside SONNET, KENRON, and other partners for a vibrant clean-up and environmental sensitisation campaign at Costain, Lagos, commemorating this year’s World Environment Day under the global theme: “Beat Plastic Pollution.”
The event saw volunteers, community leaders, and stakeholders work together to tackle plastic waste — a growing threat to public health and the environment.
Residents were engaged through:
- Street clean-up exercises
2. Education on waste segregation and recycling
3. Distribution of reusable bags
4. Demonstrations on reducing single-use plastics
Our Managing Consultant, Dr. mrs. Wunmi Olatunji, spoke passionately in local Pidgin English:
“My people, plastic don turn big wahala. E dey cause flood, e dey kill fish, e no dey ever finish. If we all stop to throw am anyhow, we go solve this problem. Na we go fix am!”
